TRENTON GOLDEN HAWKS ANNOUNCE 2026 TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE

TRENTON, ON – The wait is officially over. As August turns the corner into September, the roar is set to return to the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Centre as the Trenton Golden Hawks officially launch their 2026 Training Camp.

Running from August 24th through September 3rd, this year’s camp represents a crucial two-week development window for the organization. With a refreshed coaching staff led by Head Coach & GM Connor Armour, an exciting group of incoming recruits, and key returning veterans, camp serves as the foundation for building our team identity, chemistry, and high-velocity style of play.

A Dynamic, High-Competition Environment

Fans and observers will notice a fluid, fast-paced environment over the next two weeks. Main camp is a high-stakes setting featuring signed players, top prospects, and affiliated players (APs) all competing for roster spots and playing time.

Because several elite prospects will be coming and going to attend OHL main camps throughout these two weeks, the lineup on the ice will evolve daily. This gives our staff a prime opportunity to evaluate depth, test combinations, and ensure every athlete in our system gets a thorough look.

Beyond on-ice sessions, players will undergo off-ice athletic conditioning, and team-building seminars designed to establish the Hawks Standards early.

🗓️ TRAINING CAMP & PRE-SEASON CALENDAR

WEEK 1: BUILDING THE FOUNDATION

  • August 24 – 27: On-ice practices from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Dunc (includes off-ice testing & team meetings).

  • Friday, August 28: Exhibition Game 1 @ Lindsay Muskies (Puck drop at 7:00 PM).

  • Sunday, August 30: Exhibition Game 2 vs. Lindsay Muskies at the Dunc (Puck drop at 6:00 PM).

    • Trenton Care & Share Food Bank Fundraiser: Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to pack the pantry for local families in need!

WEEK 2: TACTICAL REFINEMENT & INTER-SQUAD

  • August 31 – September 2: On-ice practices from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Dunc.

  • Thursday, September 3: BLACK VS. GOLD INTER-SQUAD GAME from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

    • Open to the Public: Fans are invited to come out to the Dunc and catch a high-tempo intrasquad showcase as the final roster takes shape!

“Training camp is where championship habits are born,” says Director of Business Operations, Tracey Legault-Davis. “With a new feel behind the bench and a hungry group of players, these two weeks are all about setting the tone. Between dynamic on-ice sessions, high-stakes exhibition games, and our Food Bank fundraiser, the energy in Quinte West is going to be electric.”
