What a start for your Trenton Golden Hawks. After a 1’st round sweep of the Stouffville Spirit, your Trenton Golden Hawks have not taken their foot off of the gas pedal, as they have exploded out to a 2-0 series lead, against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens, in their best of 7 second round series, after a convincing 4-1 win in game 2.
Goaltender Ben Bonisteel has been superb in his return, picking up all 6 wins, with only 13 goals against, good for a 2.16 GAA. David Fournier and Adam O’Marra have lead the team in playoff scoring this far, but if you look at the total team stats, all 4 lines have been chipping in, which gives coaches Smith and Longo, lot’s of options out their if they feel something needs to be tweaked slightly.
Returning to the lineup for game 3 is All Star forward Taeo Artichuk, so this is another added boost of confidence for the Hawks heading into game 3.
Game 3 is taking place at the Dunc, Tuesday Mar 26, and is a 7:30pm puck drop. We have lots of merchandise available for sale, 50/50 tickets will be available up in the Kinsmen and throughout the arena, the City of Quinte West Canteen will be open, as well as chuck a pucks for the kiddos.
