This weekend is going to be a busy one, not only for your Trenton Golden Hawks, but the entire Eastern Conference, and could have huge playoff implications, dependent on the results of each game.
After defeating the Aurora Tigers on Tuesday, the Hawks have regained the top spot in the Conference, leap frogging the Stouffville Spirit.
Currently your Hawks have a 30-8-0-2 record, for a total of 62 points, and a 0.775 winning percentage.
Friday, the boys are at home as they host the Pickering Panthers. Pickering is a well rounded team, well known for the competitive edge, and very consistent special teams. Pickering is currently sitting in 4th in the Conference with a very respectable 26-11-2-2 record. PIckering’s power play is at a very good 22.1% success rate, and their penalty kill is just as impressive at a 82%. The Panthers are led by 2 former Golden Hawks, Charlie Key and Matt Indovina.
The Hawks lead the Season Matchup 2-1.
Puck drop is at 7:30pm. Be sure to get your tickets!
Then, on Saturday your Hawks travel to Minden, as they take on the the Haliburton Huskies.
The Huskies took the last meeting in Trenton, and the boys will be looking to rebound from that loss.
Currently the Huskies sit in 5th place in the Conference with a very good 21-11-1-5 record. The Huskies are a very well coached team, and this matchup will prove to be another barn burner. Puck drop in Haliburton is 4pm.
So fans, be sure to join us in cheering on Quinte’s Team!!!
Go Hawks Go!
