Trenton Golden Hawks lead the Eastern Conference Championship series 2 games -1.

The Trenton Golden Hawks series vs the Cobourg Cougars has seen 3 exciting games.  Our Golden Hawks came into the series rested and won the first two games in the series.

Game 1, April 5th opened with a nice tribute to the RCAF 100 anniversary and saw the GHawks dominate with a 5-0 win.  Ben Bonisteel recorded the shut-out and the entire team working together with goals from 5 players ( Joynt, Darlison, Roach, Fournier and Matthews).

Game 2, April 7th in Cobourg was a more even game with Cobourg opening the scoring, but the team fought back; scoring 3 goals in the 2nd (Fournier, Cutler & O’Marra) and one more goal in the 3rd (Darlinson) for a final score of 4 -1.

Game 3, April 9th at home saw the Cougars step up and take a 2 nothing lead in the 2nd but it didn’t take long for the Hawks to come back and tie the game 2-2 to end the second.  It took till late in the second OT for the game to be won by the Cougars on a Power Play goal.

Game 4, April 10th — JOIN THE FAN BUS!!!  The Bus will be leaving the DUNC at 6pm to help fans support their Hawks in Cobourg.

With the Series now 2 games – 1 game — we will need game 5 at the DUNC on Friday, April 12th.
