Your Trenton Golden Hawks continue the busy month of December tonight, as they take on the Stouffville Spirit.
This is the 2nd game, of what will be a 3 games in 4 days for the boys.
After coming off of a 2-2 draw against the Caledon Admirals, your Hawks are looking to right the ship, and finish the weekend off with 5 of a possible 6 points, however, as we all know, the first thing standing in their way will be the Stouffville Spirit.
Stouffville is known for being a hard hitting team, that is always hard to play against. Currently the Spirit sit in 6th spot in the East with a very respectable .606 win percentage. Goaltender Kyle Downey has had a great start to the season with a 15-7-4 record, and a very good 2.48 GAA.
Puck drop for tonight is at 7:30pm.
Then on Sunday, things do not get any easier as your Hawks play host to the pesky Lindsay Muskies. Lindsay and Trenton have quite the rivalry, and I’m sure the Muskies will be looking to impose their physical play against our boys. The Muskies will be looking to keep a grip on their 8th and final playoff spot, so be sure to come on down to the Dunc, and cheer on your Hawks. Puck drop for this one is at 2:30pm.
As for your Hawks, what can you say really? They have points in 17 straight games, which included a 15 game unbeaten streak. Incredible, considering the tough schedule, and parity that is the OJHL Coach Smith and the boys know that every team has put a target on the back of the Hawks, and your boys will be ready for anything that comes their way!!!
So, be sure to pop on down, and cheer on Quinte’s Team!
