Golden Hawks Sweep the Stouffville Spirit & Bonisteel celebrates his Saves For Vets campaign.
It has been a busy but successful 2 weeks for our Golden Hawks in the first round of the Nutrafarm Championship Serires playoffs and their drive for the Buckland Cup.
Sweeping the series 4 games to 0 against a very physical Stouffville Spirit; the Golden Hawks will get a short break before the start of ROUND 2.
Series wrap up:
Goalie: Ben Bonisteel played all 4 games, facing 148 shots. It has been a real team effort with almost every player picking up a point throughout the series.
Top Points: #88 Fournier – 7 points; #21 O’Marra – 6 points and #21 Lapalm – 5 points.
We were also hounored this round to recognize the hard work of Ben Bonisteel and his season campaign “Saves for Vets”. Ben, along with family, friends and fans raised over $5,500 for Vets Canada as we all donated .50/save with Ben recording 850 saves this season. Ben’s campaign is open for one more week and fans can contribute at the link below.
