The Trenton Golden Hawks continue to prepare their team for the upcoming fall.
Head Coach/General Manager Derek Smith says they have acquired Adam Matar from the Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
“This is a great signing for the club,” says Smith. “Adam had a great first season in junior hockey last year. He is a young 17 going into the 23-24 season and we believe not only will he make an impact; he will also be able to learn a ton from our veterans, who have played not only elite and high pressure hockey. He is going to be a great fit to the Trenton Golden Hawks program.”
The Aurora native comes in at 6’2/181 and is a native of Aurora. He is an OHL draft pick of the Flint Firebirds.
His 2021-22 season included an OMHA Championship.
