After suffering their first defeat of the 2024 season, your Trenton Golden Hawks are glad to be back at home, this Friday, as they host the very pesky North York Rangers. Puck drop at the Hangar takes place at 7:30 pm.
Coach/GM Derek Smith sees this as an opportunity to get things going on the right track, has emphasized to the guys that their are no days off, that with the parity in the league the 2 points is never a given. The effort that a team like North York brings is a good challenge for the guys to refocus, get the 2 points, re-introduce their strategies, build confidence, and impose their will on their opponents, but knows it will take a total team effort to do this.
Top scorer Matthew Souliere for the Hawks has been an absolute pleasure to watch this season, and he will be looking to add to his impressive point totals> Captain Roach and returning player David Fournier are also itching to lead our Hawks back into the win column this Friday.
For the Rangers, defenceman Cole Bowditch has been a pleasant surprise. The d-man is leading the Rangers in scoring with 9 points, and will have to be someone to shutdown.
