Your Trenton Golden Hawks are excited to hit the ice this weekend for 2 games, as their quest for back to back Buckland Cup Championships continues Friday and Saturday, with 2 crucial games, against 2 very good hockey teams.
Friday the boys are at home as they play host to the Buzzers from St. Michael’s. Currently the Buzzers sit in 6th place in the Eastern Conference with a total of 25 points. The Buzzers are lead by 2006 born forward Aiden O’Toole, who has had a great start to the season with 41 points, which includes 19 goals. O’Toole currently sits in 3rd place in points in the OJHL.
In the first meeting between these 2 clubs this season, the Hawks skated away with a 7-3 win, and will be looking for the same result this time around. Puck drop is 7:30 Friday at the Dunc.
Then on Saturday, the Hawks travel to Stouffville to take on those pesky Spirit. Stouffville is known throughout the league as a team that never quits. The Spirit are a well rounded team, led offensively by Hudson Armstrong, who has great numbers this season with 17 goals, 18 assists, good for 35 points. The 2007 forward is ranked in the top 10 scoring. Currently the Spirit are sitting atop the conference with a very impressive 19-6 record.
The first meeting of these 2 clubs was not too long ago, as the Hawks skated away with a 3-2 win. Puck drop for this game in Stouffville on Saturday is at 7:30pm, we sure hope you can come on out and support the boys!!!
