After a successful 2 game weekend, which saw your Trenton Golden Hawks go 2-0, defeating the Burlington Cougars and the Haliburton Huskies, the fellas will be right back at it with another 2 games this weekend.
On Friday your Hawks will play host to the Milton Menace, in what is a return match from the 2024 Championship series, which your Hawks ousted the Menace in 6 games, winning the Buckland Cup, and punched their ticket to the Centennial Cup.
This is the first meeting this season between these 2 clubs, and it will definitely be a game you will not want to miss. Currently the Menace sit in 2nd place in the Western Conference with a near perfect record of 8-0-2, good for 18 pts. Your Trenton Golden Hawks are currently 9-2 this season, also have 18 pts, and are 1st in the Eastern Conference.
This matchup is guaranteed to be a true test for both sides, a chance for your Hawks to prove that they are #1 in the League, however, on the other end, Milton wants to show Trenton that they have not forgotten about last season, and are looking to make a statement.
Friday’s game is at the Dunc, with a 7:30pm puck drop. Tickets are available online, and at the gate, so be sure to come on down and cheer on your Hawks!
Then, on Saturday afternoon, your Hawks will be travelling to Newmarket for 4:30 pm to take on the Hurricanes. This will be the first meeting between the 2 teams this season, and the first since the Jr. Canadiens move to Newmarket from Toronto. The Hurricanes post a very good record of 6-4-1-1, and have a home record of 2-2.
